Summary
LTF Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and organised Assistant SENCO to join our dynamic team at a large all-through school in Harrow. This is a non-classroom-based role, where you will play a crucial part in supporting the SENCO in the Primary department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the SENCO with the day-to-day management of SEND provision.
- Completing essential paperwork, including EHCPs and other documentation.
- Interacting with students, parents, and staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils with special educational needs.
- Supporting with the planning and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Liaising with external agencies and professionals to support the needs of students.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a SEND environment (preferably in a primary setting).
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- A commitment to supporting the development and learning of children with special educational needs.
