Summary

Working hours: 40 hours per week working a 2 week shift pattern, Monday – Sunday, either on a Main Shift (8.00am – 4.30pm) or a Late Shift (1.00pm – 8.30pm)

We provide an accommodation and support hub in central Reading for people experiencing homelessness. We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to provide high quality support to our vulnerable homeless clients.
Working as part of a team and being responsible to the Programme Manager, the successful applicant will have a caseload of residents, providing one to one/individual support, working with residents to plan how support needs can be met.
You will also be supporting and empowering residents through meaningful activities and to move through a structured resettlement programme, promoting choice and control, into the wider community and independence.
The successful candidate will have:
CIH Engage to Change Qualification or NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or be committed to work towards one. You will be a strong communicator, with a good knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding homelessness.
