We are currently recruiting for motivated, experienced and enthusiastic maintenance person for a full-time, permanent position.
Job title: Maintenance Person
Report to: Head of Housekeeping.
Hours: 27.5 Hours per week, Mon-Fri but flexibility is needed as the role will require working the occasional weekend.
About the job:
Check the maintenance log and attend to the detailed items, referring items unable to be dealt with to the Head of Hotel Services.
Attend to all remedial maintenance works as instructed by the Head of Hotel Services
Property inspections, identifying any issues repairs or advisory works or recommendations for upgrade of the property
Routine testing of systems, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and water systems
Carry out painting and decorating as required
Minor plumbing repairs as required, including drain unblocking
Assist with refuse removal, relocation of furniture, equipment and deliveries as necessary.
External maintenance and caretaking, attend to fence panels, guttering, filling areas prone to rodent ingress etc.
Change light bulbs, visually check appliances and other minor electrical works within the post holders limits.
Maintenance of doors, locks, intumescent strips and boxing as required.
Assist with steam and carpet cleaning as required
Order and collect supplies as authorised by the relevant manager.
Be available to respond to emergency call outs on agreed days, e.g. over the Christmas period.

Highly organised with a proactive and “solutions focussed” based approach
Ability to accept criticism and remain calm under pressure
Confident and enthusiastic enough to carry out fault finding and basic repairs.
