Summary


Ward F9 and the surgical admissions lounge at the Wythenshawe site of Manchester Foundation trust are currently looking to recruit a second Band 7 Ward Manager to our elective surgical unit and elective admitting area.

Our General Surgical directorate has a reputation for the highest standards of clinical care.
We are looking for a suitably experienced nurse and leader who is passionate about patient safety and the delivery of exceptional quality care to patients who require elective surgery.

Ward F9 is a 20 bedded elective surgical ward which delivers care to general surgery, urology, breast, max fax, orthopedic and gastroenterology patients. The surgical admissions lounge is an outpatient area that admits the elective patients coming in for surgery and supports with some local anaesthetic patients post operatively. Our key focus is to provide high quality care to our patients pre and post operatively.

A successful individual must be highly motivated to take on this challenge and meet head on the pressure to maintain high standards and delivery of quality care, whilst leading the nursing team.

The post holder will manage all aspects of clinical standards and professional practice within the service and will manage and coordinate staff budget resources and the environment. You will help shape future services working and supporting the Matron and Lead Nurse.
