Bon Accord Care are inviting applications to join the dynamic, inclusive and collaborative Delivery & Development team. We are recruiting a Project Manager, based in Aberdeen, at a time where we continue on an exciting and ambitious three-year strategic delivery plan [click here to access the BAC Strategy 2023-2026].

About you

The postholder will report to an Operational Lead within the team and will work closely with our service-based staff to promote consistent and collaborative approaches to delivery and development across our services.

Job Purpose:

To provide project leadership and management on a range of transformation projects assigned through the Transformation Project Portfolio process, in order to deliver appropriate projects on time, on budget and to the required level of quality.

About you and this post

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team., someone who can help drive forward transformation projects that help us to ‘make a difference’ for those we support, their families and our staff. We are looking to attract the right candidate who offers knowledge and experiences of project management, that is underpinned with project management and change methodologies and approaches that successfully deliver improvements in the way we work. A keen collaborator, who works well across multi-sectoral boundaries and takes an integrated approach to continuous improvement. Someone who has a solid grounding health and social care and/or business. In addition, the key areas of focus within this role include:

  • Contribute to business across all workstreams in Bon Accord Care.
  • Excellent, clear, communication skills, electronic, written, verbal and that acknowledge and build on contributions of others.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in their role, promoting matrix leadership approaches.
  • Challenges inefficiency and status quo, striving to introduce and lead improvements where necessary.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures and national care standards and professional codes of practice.
  • Leads others to, and champions adoption of, BAC values in all areas of responsibility, demonstrating RITA in all they do.
  • Focused on engagement, co-production and co-design of assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating changes and improvements in ways of working, that enhance experiences for service users and staff.
  • Adopts a robust evidence-based approach to project development and promotes solution-focused ways of working in their own practice, and that of others.
  • Is flexible and adaptable, responding to the needs of those with whom they are connecting.
  • Leadership experience in guiding others through organizational change.
  • Supervision of staff and business improvement and delivery and development teams.
  • Familiar with principles of appreciative enquiry.
  • Committed to their ongoing personal development.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills; with a high attention to detail and accuracy, and competent in using the MS Office Suite/ 365 - [Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint].
  • Have a strong understanding for the need for confidentiality.

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

  • Formal training on one of the common Project Management frameworks/methodologies or equivalent experience in the application of these frameworks/methodologies
  • Experience in leading a project team and delivery of multi-disciplined projects in a health and/or social care environment

Responsibilities

The post holder needs to be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of:

  • Knowledge of at least one of the common Project Management frameworks/methodologies
  • Different approaches to delivering projects (e.g. PRINCE2, waterfall, Agile) their benefits and when it is appropriate to use each approach
  • Knowledge of Business and/or Technical requirements analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of procurement legislation, as applies to local government
  • Experience of managing change and improvement projects with a strong focus on delivering business benefits
