Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time housekeeper based on Ward B49 at the Queen's Medical Centre. You will be working alongside the clinical and nursing team as an integral member, with the priority of maintaining cleanliness and organisation across the ward.

This is a full time post working five days a week, Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00. However changes to working hours would be considered ensuring core hours are covered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the ensuring the ward is consistently stocked with the necessary equipment. You will help with the continual upkeep of cleanliness and maintenance by working with Estates to report and monitor any faults.

The successful candidate will be responsible in ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the ward whilst also taking responsibility for all aspects of stock maintenance and control.

The successful candidate will work with materials management, equipment suppliers, procurement and the finance team to ensure correct stock levels are maintained and that stock is correctly stored and maintained. The use of Integra and NHS Supply chain, which is essential for ordering both stock and non-stock items. The role will also be responsible for ensuring all electrical equipment is PAT tested in line with Health and Safety, to ensure it is safe for staff, patients and relatives.
