Summary


The post will cover the production unit at Castle Hill Hospital

The successful candidates will be working various shifts to cover service delivery requirements. The department operates from 06.00 through to 18:00 7 days a week including public holidays, the above posts will predominantly work the below shift times:

The successful candidate will aid in the picking and distribution of patient meals and therapeutic diets. The area that will be worked in involves a heavy manual handling tasks and requires work to be completed in areas with extreme temperatures for short periods of time.

Post 1- 30 hrs

Week 1,

Wednesday- 06.00-14.00/ or 10.00-18.00, Thursday- 10.00-1800, Friday- 10.00-18.00.

Week 2,

Monday- 10.00-18.00, Tuesday- 06.00- 14.00, Friday- 06.00-14.00/ or 10.00-18.00, Saturday- 06.00-14.00/ or 10.00-18.00, Sunday- 06.00-14.00.

Week 3,

Monday- 06.00-14.00/ or 10.00-18.00, Wednesday- 06.00-14.00/ or 10.00-18.00, Thursday- 10.00-18.00, Friday- 10.00-18.00.

Week 4,

Monday- 10.00-1800, Friday- 06.00-14.00/ or 10.00-18.00, Saturday- 06.00-14.00/ or 10.00-18.00, Sunday- 06.00-14.00

Shift Pattern includes days,weekends and bank holidays with unsocial hours enhancements (as per NHS terms and conditions)

Working pattern to be agreed at interview

The post holder will assist in the provision of a comprehensive and cost-effective catering service that meets the needs of all patients whilst fulfilling the objectives of the Trust.

To provide a full range of high quality ward catering services including the regeneration and attractive presentation of a wide range of cook-freeze food items.
