Lead development, and organise the delivery and oversight, of programmes contributing to productivity and financial improvement within UHS (whilst maintaining quality of care to patients).

Provide strategic leadership for the Planning function within UHS, including the development of processes, education programmes, and quality assurance.

Lead the development of more complex appraisals and proposals which are of significant importance to the Trust as a whole, including formal bids or cases for HIOW ICB and NHS England approval.

Contribute to the Annual Operating Plan, including assessment of external requirements, coordination between UHS functions, and preparation of options to respond to key Trust challenges.

You will have broad experience with the NHS and experience in an Acute Hospital setting will be a significant advantage.

Business management qualifications and / or experience would be beneficial, for example in business case preparation, project/programme management, or financial management.

In addition to your experience and skills, a strong and enduring commitment to improving both the quality and cost-effectiveness of NHS services is essential.
