Minimum Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK
• Valid NMC registration
• 6+ months full time post-qualification experience within a care or residential home setting in the last 3 years
• This role will be subject to an enhanced AccessNI check

Key Responsibilities:

As a registered nurse working in a care home with Newcross, your duties could include:

Medications management: Ensure safe and timely medication management including ordering, stock control, dispensing and administering, controlled drugs management and monitoring and reporting
Create and update Care Plans and risk assessments: Develop and follow personalised care plans and risk assessments in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare teams
Monitor resident health: Adopt a holistic approach to health and wellness ensuring regular assessment, monitoring, recording and escalation where identified with a diverse resident group
Assist with activities of daily living: Support residents with activities of daily living including mobility, bathing, dressing, and eating ensuring a person-centred approach and adherence to care plans and risk assessments
Demonstrate a person-centred approach: Provide compassionate care and support to residents and their families/significant others
Collaborate and communicate with teams: Work closely with a variety of professionals including medics, allied health professionals and others
Lead and manage teams: Act as an autonomous practitioner at times and ensure the team are led effectively through the shift demonstrating a safe, responsive and professional approach at all times in line with policy and procedure
Communicate effectively at all levels: Demonstrate effective communication skills at all levels with differing individuals ensuring clear, open and transparent communication, reporting and escalation
Ensure compliance and safety: Maintain high standards of care, safety, and infection control ensuring contemporaneous documentation at all times
