About the role

The successful candidate will join a team of friendly staff who deliver innovative teaching across our portfolio of Diagnostic Imaging programmes. This will include the BSc and MSc Diagnostic Radiography (pre-registration) and also our newly validated and College of Radiographers approved BSc degree apprenticeship in Diagnostic Radiography (top-up) programme. It is an exciting time to join this developing team to help shape Radiography education within the University of Derby on both our BSc and MSc Diagnostic Radiography programmes.

The post will be based within the Diagnostics and Clinical interventions discipline, however, teaching and support may span across the College of Health, Psychology and Social Care. You will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues within the discipline area and the wider college to deliver exceptional teaching and learning.

You will contribute to enhancing the quality of Diagnostic Radiography education, as well as taking forward the research and scholarship agenda. It is extremely important that you not only understand the student experience, but that you genuinely enjoy making a positive impact for students across their learning journey and the wider community in which we are situated.

You will work collaboratively with the Diagnostic Radiography team to deliver high quality and innovative teaching and will support development of practical skills using our suite of Radiography equipment and facilities.

About You

We are inviting applications from professionals who may be early career academics or from clinically experienced professionals who are looking to develop their career into academic practice. Ideally, you will have some experience in teaching either in an academic or clinical context. You should have experience within diagnostic radiography and may have specialist clinical expertise such as in computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, projectional radiography or paediatrics although we will consider all areas of diagnostic radiography.

You must be a HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer and must hold a minimum of a BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent qualification)
