Summary

The Best Connection are recruiting for a Quality Inspector to work in Chorley.

Job Overview:

Carry out goods inward inspection of materials from suppliers, ensuring compliance to design specifications and contractual requirements. Process and report reject parts and correspond with suppliers to fulfil CAR reports.

Monitor manufacturing and assembly of our internal operations to ensure quality standards are maintained and to introduce product and process improvements.

Duties: Quality inspection of incoming materials in accordance with the quality system & procedures Quarantine, inspection and processing of non-conforming materials. Raising Non-conformance Records within the system where appropriate. Implement any relevant Quality checks and measures. Patrol inspection Machine room - monitor first-off operator inspection to ensure parts are machined to drawing. Polishing - inspection to ensure the desired finish is being achieved and the product is produced in a timely manner. Print Department - inspection of flatbed print, roll fed digital print, over doming, lamination and wrapping. Stores kits - monitor the accuracy and quality of the kits of parts for production to assemble. Assembly inspection - inspection of finished goods built on the shop floor and in print room. Identifying and implementing product and process improvement Prepare quality documents for goods-in inspection and SOP’s for products and assembly Receipt and inspection of customer returned products. Support management with health and safety duties. Undertake any other reasonable duties within the business as instructed by the Senior management team. Required Skills and Experience: HNC or equivalent qualification To have an engineering background and quality related role with a minimum experience of 2 years Ability to read and interpret component and assembly drawings, where appropriate support will be provided where necessary from our engineers. Have experience inspecting products Have experience inspecting production Experience dealing with customer complaints Experience with production process evaluation and improvement Ideally will have knowledge of machined and fabricated parts To have good IT/Computer skills Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the company and with suppliers and customers Be able to work under their own initiative Working hours:

Monday - Thursday 0800am - 1630pm

Friday 0800am - 1300pm

Salary £30,000 PA
