Summary
Sixth Form Housemistress (Teaching/Non-teaching)
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Housemistress to lead our highly committed Sixth Form boarding team.
The Sixth Form Housemistress will lead their house, providing support and guidance to each pupil and promoting all aspect of pupil development. They will be responsible for managing staffing, organisation and resources of the house efficiently; provide for the safety, good discipline and pastoral wellbeing of all pupils and promote and develop recruitment to the house. The successful candidate will the confidence and experience to work independently but will also be part of the wider boarding team.
Candidates will be well-organised with excellent administrative and problem-solving skills, highly developed interpersonal skills and a good knowledge of higher education. You will have the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships with young people and be able to lead and manage a team.

We welcome female applicants only as this is a girls’ boarding school. This is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act.
Hours: This is a full-time role. The role is term-time plus three weeks on-site working during holiday periods and the requirement to carry out the equivalent of a further week’s work across the academic year in order to be in email contact with boarders’ parents.
Salary: Badminton School operates its own pay scale. Salary will be dependent on experience and whether the successful candidate is teaching or non-teaching.
Additional Benefits: Pension membership, meals and accommodation, free onsite parking, use of the school gym and heated swimming pool (at designated times) and access to free fitness classes are all included.
Starting date: January/April 2025 or earlier dependent on availability of the successful candidate
