THE RIGHT CANDIDATE -
Essential Qualities and Experience
- Experience of working within a Quality Management System e.g. BRCGS, SALSA, ISO9001 OR Health & Safety Qualifications e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH
- Experience of carrying out and documenting audits including allocation of non-conformance's, liaising with different departments to agree actions, following up actions and creating reports
- Good level of ability with Spread Sheets and Word - e.g. use of pivot tables, conditional formatting, tables and charts
- Experience of working to procedures
- Ability to manage own time and work to deadlines
- A methodical way of working and able to adapt to changing priorities as advised
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Attention to detail
- Discipline to follow correct procedures and working practices
- Collaborative approach to working with others
- Confident to communicate areas of non-conformance to others in a constructive way
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct various types of internal audits, complete reports, log actions and monitor action completion. Types of audits; procedure audits, H&S audits, paperwork audits, fabrication audits, perimeter audits, GMP audits, trace ability audits
- Create and maintain product specifications and records
- Be a presence in production, helping staff to understand and comply with food safety, quality and H&S procedures
- Carry out H&S risk assessments
- Conduct basic food safety and quality training for other members of staff
- Prepare and submit lab samples, keeping testing schedules up to date
- Log lab results and create/update trend charts and reports
- Be a source of knowledge for food safety and quality-related queries
- Complete hygiene and allergen validations
- Manage calibration schedules for equipment such as balances
- Assist with Quality System document updates
- Carry out label compliance checks
- Deputise basic tasks in absence of Compliance Manager
