Hills Municipal Collections have an opportunity available for a Kerbside Loader to join our team based in Calne. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £23,471.91 per annum alongside a great range of benefits, including:

About the role:

As our Kerbside Loader, you will work as part of the vehicle crew (up to a team of 3) in the kerbside collection of domestic waste, including recycled and garden waste.

Your key responsibilities as our Kerbside Loader will include:


Collection of domestic waste, including recycled and garden waste
Assist with vehicle safety checks, operation and ancillary equipment checks
Working on a two-week round rotation, ensuring all kerbside collections are made in line with the company’s contractual requirement
Use the in-cab round monitoring software unit (Bartec)
Dealing with customers and the public at large.
Working hours are 37 working hours per week (Monday - Thursday 07:00 to 15:15,
Friday 07:00 to 14:45)
There will also be a requirement to work some Bank Holidays and up to eight Saturdays per year, prior notice will be given. Additional hours, paid as overtime, may be required in order to meet the collections needs.



What we’re looking for in our Kerbside Loader:


Candidates must be physically fit to carry out manual handling activities, work outdoors in all weathers and enjoy working as part of a team.
Experience within waste collection or recycling operations would be a distinct advantage.
Full PPE, training and a health and safety induction will be provided.
