The Role
As a Requirements Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. A senior‐level professional role in the Systems discipline of the Engineering role family. This role requires in depth knowledge, expertise and multiple years
experience of professional practice within this discipline. You'll be expected to provide Requirements and V&V (Verification & Validation) so, a proven track record of doing so is key.

Day-to-day, you'll be undertaking complex and non‐routine professional assignments with minimal supervision and may provide leadership to more junior roles within the Systems discipline. Systems is a role discipline which uses a transdisciplinary and integrative approach to enable the successful realisation, use, support and retirement of engineered systems, using systems principles and concepts, and scientific, technological, and management methods:

  • Leading requirements activities within their area of the programme / project.
  • Working with EMs, design team, deriving / managing system and sub-system requirements.
  • Managing traceability activities and documentation.
  • Leading V&V, Test and Acceptance activities.
  • Willingness to solve complex problems by taking initiative.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires regular travel to one of our sites on a monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.

Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. We are happy to consider flexible, blended working, including part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing. Please ask about alternative patterns of work at interview.

Essential Experience of the Requirements Manager:

  • Demonstratable experience within systems engineering.
  • In‐depth knowledge and experience of systems engineering in order to solve complex problems with minimal guidance.
  • Background of working in a regulated industry.
  • Key principles to demonstrate: Be Curious, Think: Outcomes, Collaborate, Be Kind.

Qualifications for the Requirements Manager:

  • You must be degree / HNC qualified or equivalent / similar.
  • Ideally, you'll be a chartered engineer or, working towards chartership.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
