Here at Mountain Healthcare, we are looking for a passionate, determined, and resilient individual to join our amazing team as a Forensic Quality Manager. About the Role This Forensic Quality Manager role is a full time vacancy of 40 hours per week. Main duties: Developing relationships and working closely with United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), Forensic Science Regulator (FSR), Forensic Service Providers and stakeholders such as the Forensic Capability Network (FCN) to ensure smooth and effective external assessments of the forensic disciplines, to identify the potential risks to the loss of accreditation or certification status. Reporting to top management on Quality Management Systems (QMS) status and areas in need of improvement. Be regarded as the first point of contact for all communications relating to quality. Informing the customers, UKAS and the Forensic Regulator, of any significant non-conformances.. The implementation of the QMS that meets accreditation quality standards, specifically the FSR Codes of Practice and ISO15189, leading project plans and working closely with IT services and regional managers to ensure compliance. Plan and manage audit schedules comprising of internal horizontal, vertical and method witness audits and external surveillance audits for accreditation. Supervise, train and mentor trainee internal auditors, and personally undertake audits of key areas. Provide the Head of Governance and Quality with up-to-date information on the progress of Corrective, Preventive and Improvement actions. Negotiate and influence managers to ensure compliance. Fully support all areas by providing specialist advice and guidance on all matters appertaining to accreditation. Ensuring the service that the organisation provides is fit for purpose, remains consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. This includes legal aspects such GDPR, Health and Social Care Act and the FSR statutory requirements, and customer expectations, while maintaining an awareness of current legislation, updates, changes and introductions of new legislation.
