Summary
TeacherActive are proud to be working with a mainstream primary school in the Ystradgynlais area. This is a happy and busy school where the opportunities for their pupils are endless. Although it may be large and wonderful school grounds, it still has a community feel, and the children are at the heart of everything they do. The school is part of the Forest Schools initiative, and they are keen to provide learner inspired, hands on experiences in the natural environment. They have found that this has increased pupil's self-confidence as they problem solve and learn to manage risks.
The school are looking for a Key Stage Two Primary Teacher who has a passion to inspire young minds and a commitment to ensuring that every child achieves their full potential. This is a full- time role until Easter with the possibility of the position being extended for the right person and funding being secured. The successful candidate will develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives. They will facilitate learning by establishing positive relationships with pupils, keeping their learning resources organised and creating a positive learning environment.
The successful Primary Teacher will have:
• QTS
• A Forest Schools Qualification (this is desirable but not essential)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to enthuse and motivate their pupils
• A passion for outdoor learning
