Summary
We arelooking to recruitapermanentBand 4coordinator for the Children’s Epilepsy Surgery Service (CESS). There is flexibility with start and finish times, which can be discussed atinterviewif you wish,and the successfully appointed candidates can consider workingtoaflexitimearrangement after twelve weeks inpost. A mixture of home and officeworkingisavailable.
We arelooking for experienced,enthusiastic,and dedicated individualsto provide effective and efficientcoordinator and secretarialservicesfor the PaediatricNeurologyDepartment at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
The post holderswill have arange ofcoordinator/secretarialexperience, ideally in a hospital environment, though other administrationexperience will be considered. Working in a busy and sometimes demanding job, within a supportive team, theymust be a good team player and enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team. They will need to be able to manage andprioritisetheir workload appropriately.Applicants should haveexcellentorganisationaland interpersonal skills,andtheability to work well under pressure. The ability to use their own initiative is essential. Theroledeals with patients,relatives,and healthcare professionals on the phone,and occasionally face to face,and thereforeapplicants must have excellent communication skills and will be expected to have a courteous and efficient telephone manner. They need to have an excellent working knowledge of MicrosoftOffice 365Packages such asWord,Exceland Outlook.
We would welcome applications from those who meetallofthe essential criteria as set out in the person specification. This includesbeing educated to GCSE, grade C or above (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths,having aqualificationinword processing or audiotranscription(or equivalent), and having an NVQ at level 3 in Business and Administration (or equivalent experience).
