The Opportunity
The Best Western Derby Mickleover Hotel is a great destination known for its great service, accommodation, and amenities. We pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for our guests and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.
An opportunity has arisen for a General Manager to join this fantastic property overseeing all hotel operations. You will manage the day-to-day leadership and direction of the hotel, maximizing sales and revenue, and driving financial returns.
Taking ownership of the development of your people, you will execute on brand standards and build awareness of the hotel and brand within the local area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. Driving financial returns and managing the hotel’s financial performance
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of dedicated staff across various departments. Develop and mentor staff, fostering their professional growth.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and drive revenue growth.
- Manage budgets, financial plans, and expenditures to ensure profitability.

Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel management
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and financial plans.
- High level of organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
- Strong commercial awareness and decision-making skills.
