Summary
Key responsibilities and accountabilities as a Hardware Build / Deployment Engineer will include;
- Imaging Desktop Computers
- Imaging Laptop Computers
- Installing Operating Systems on Servers
- Installing upgrade parts
- Asset Tagging and recording/scanning device details
- Enrolling mobile devices into mobile device management
- Troubleshooting laptop / desktop faults
- Intune pre-provisioning
- Verifying, documenting, and chasing information relating to tickets
- Receive, unpack, and inventory IT equipment from vendors or suppliers.
- Assemble, configure, asset tag and test IT equipment according to specifications and standards.
- Label, document, and organize IT equipment in the configuration centre.
- Prepare and pack IT equipment for shipment or delivery to various locations.
- Install, connect, and troubleshoot IT equipment at the designated locations.
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on IT equipment.
- Update and maintain records of IT equipment inventory, status, and location.
- Follow safety and security procedures and policies in the configuration centre.
- Report any issues, problems, or incidents related to the IT equipment or the configuration centre.
