Located in the beautiful city of Norwich, the Norfolk Community Eating Disorder Service provides exceptional career development opportunities in the recovery focused care of adults experiencing difficulties associated with a diagnosis of eating Disorder.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated band 7 Team Manger to lead our team at NCEDS.

The successful candidate will work alongside our band 8a Modern Matron, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Consultant Psychiatrist and Consultant Psychologist and wider MDT, to lead the team to provide innovative and forward-thinking care as we continue to develop and improve our Eating Disorder Service.

Within a community setting, we aim to provide therapeutic interventions based on psychological formulation, offering planned care and treatment to improve outcomes for those suffering from eating disorders in accordance with NICE guidelines.

We work closely with our commissioners and stakeholders and believe in truly collaborative care, support and education.

We work closely together with our 3rd sector partners Eating matters, with GP's, acute colleagues and commissioner's.

To manage a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in the field of adult community eating disorders.

To work flexibly to provide leadership and deliver a good quality service.

To undertake a liaison role between NCEDS, acute trusts, community teams (including Crisis Resolution Home Treatment, social care services, and locality mental health teams), police, GP's and other relevant agencies.

To contribute to Trust wide initiatives in conjunction with other Team Leaders.

To undertake Performance Management with staff (this includes appraisals) and monitor compliance with mandatory training.

To develop a good working relationship with local ICB and ensure all required Key performance indicators are met.

To participate in recruitment and actively enhance retention through the quality agenda.

To oversee management of risk within the service.

To flexibly work clinically within NCEDS service providing timely assessments and interventions to community-based service users.

To provide leadership, managerial expertise and supervision to others in the team.

To maintain professional registration if applicable.

Maintain contemporary skill base through on-going professional development.

To be responsible for delivering the quality agenda in NCEDS, in conjunction with the lead clinicians.

To meet the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for individual teams.

To undertake a liaison role between NCEDS, acute trusts, community teams, social care services, and locality mental health teams, police, GP’s and other relevant agencies.

To support the development of the service as a placement area for student nurses and Psychology students.

To participate in recruitment and actively enhance retention through the quality agenda.
