Summary

Work base: Mochdre / Llandudno / Llanrwst

Conwy County Borough Council’s weekly ‘Recycle More’ service is changing the way we think about waste. The focus is on collecting clean, segregated, high-value materials that can be used to make new products. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and physically fit people who can not only collect recycling, but help our residents and customers with advice and information.

The willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions is essential. Hours of work will be 37 hours per week, with mandatory bank holiday working and up to 3 Saturday Christmas catch up collections.

Loaders must have experience of manual work and safe manual handling procedures and understand the health and safety issues of waste collection. Applicants will be expected to know the basics of the Councils recycling policy, but interest and enthusiasm are more important.

The successful candidates should have the capability and flexibility to work in both recycling and refuse collection at any of our depots located throughout the County.
