Assessment Team Manager

Summary

  • Managing services: Ensuring services are delivered within the framework of policies and procedures, and that they meet or exceed standards. This may include managing a duty desk and a team that conducts short-term assessments of need.
  • Managing staff: Managing a team of social services staff, and contributing to the recruitment, appointment, and induction of staff. This may also include supporting the needs of team members in a helpful, positive, and motivating way.
  • Managing work: Ensuring that incoming work is screened, reviewed, and prioritised appropriately, and that cases are allocated in a timely manner. This may also include ensuring that work turnover is within a reasonable time frame, and that performance targets are met.
  • Managing budgets: Managing the devolved budgets appropriate to the post.
  • Managing risk: Being responsible for risk assessment and risk management.
  • Ensuring quality: Being responsible for the quality of work completed, and the practice, values, and behaviours of staff.
  • Ensuring safeguarding: Ensuring that children, young people, and families who require statutory interventions are effectively safeguarded. This may also include ensuring that children looked after and care leavers receive the highest possible standards of care

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 Year experience as a Assessment Team Manager (Equivalent), able to hit the ground running.

  • Excellent understanding of policies and procedures required for said role.

  • Great skills using Microsoft Office.

  • Registered on SWE - Social Work England

  • Fully Compliant with Enhanced DBS - If you do not have DBS, please inform us to we can sort this for you.

  • Valid right to work documentation
