Summary

Research Fellow in ICT for Electricity Distribution Network Operation
Cardiff School of Engineering

The role involves the work on information and communications technology supporting electricity distribution network operation, including bidding for funding, publishing in national academic journals and conferences, the recruitment and supervision of postgraduate research students and other research and management work. The post is jointly funded by the EPSRC project “Supergen Energy Networks Impact Hub 2023”, the industry project “DEDSO Stage 2 DLT Roadmap” (funded by SP Manweb Plc, Scottish & Southern Energy Power Distribution Ltd, and UK Power Networks (Operations) Ltd), and the industry project “Multi-vector energy systems” (funded by Toshiba Research Europe Ltd).

This post is part time (28 hours per week), available from 1 October 2024 and is fixed term for 16 months.

Salary: £49,794 - £54,395 per annum, pro rata (Grade 7).
