Pay Rate: £12.38 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours

Role Length: This opening assignment is for 2-3 months

City: Newark, Nottinghamshire

This is a technical support role designated to provide support to the work of officers delivering Aids and Adaptations in Council managed properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Acknowledge new referrals advise client of referral receipt.
Maintain accurate and up to date waiting lists where applicable.
Liaise with OT’s, customers and colleagues and arrange pre-start and feasibility assessment meetings as necessary.
Maintain an up to date register of contractors and ensure quotes are requested from contractors on an even basis; issue tender documents and collate responses. To include maintenance of contractor background information including insurance certs, competency schemes etc.
Process interim and final payments once paperwork and sign off is completed by officers.
Support officers in providing data and statistics for performance monitoring and Freedom of Information requests.
Ensure the administration is carried out in a timely manner; sending clients acceptance letters, requesting start dates and communicating with customers and contractors.
Ensure new cases are accurately logged and updated on appropriate systems appropriate documents are retained, and records closed when complete.



Qualifications:

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths or with demonstrable experience.
Business Administration NVQ2 or equivalent desirable.



Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Experience of providing technical administrative support in a busy environment.
Experience of data input and data management.
Understanding of the various different agencies and internal teams required in service delivery.
Ability to meet strict deadlines with good organisational skills.
Anticipate customer needs to provide excellent service continually striving to improve.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite, Mosaic).
