Working Hours:Monday – Friday 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00 Rotating Shifts Available
Pay rate: £13.85 P/hr
Position: Team Leader
Logistics People are currently recruiting Team Leaders to join our Team in Dudley, Based at our IPS site.
What does working as Team Leader for Logistics People involve?
- Co-ordinate the activities of the warehouse team, providing clear concise direction and to maximise employee contribution
- Achieve KPIs including pallet movements per hour, stock accuracy, deployment and utilisation of stock on outbound
- Support the Warehouse Manager in the delivery of training SOP’s and development plans
- Support customer stocktakes on site as required
- Delivery of operational standards in the warehouse areas for hygiene, stock segregation and traceability
- Responsible for own and team’s development – moving towards a self-management culture
- Investigate and report findings and KPI anomalies to the warehouse manager in a timely and professional basis.
- To ensure, identify and promote best working practices for continual improvement within the department and business.
- To ensure Data, reports and system requirements for the continued function of work are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure effective management of stock and pallet storage and integrity, completing weekly counts and input of customer data.
- Work in a collaborative manner with the production department ensuring Lines are supplied in a timely manner & notified of any issues affecting shift efficiency.
- Ensure teams are providing a reliable service that meets the company’s KPI’s, quality measures in line with good manufacturing practices (GMP)
- Support Warehouse manager on all aspects of cost control.
- Promote and adhere to health and safety practices at all times
- Be a role model and champion best practice
- To undertake other duties from time to time that are commensurate within this role
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Possess a dynamic leadership attitude, supporting teams as needed and work together to add value and manage challenges
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage, motivate and coach
- Possess a ‘right first time’ attitude and have a willingness to be hands on when required
- MHE Licence required
- Reach Truck
- Counter Balance
- T20
- IPAF
- Minimum 3 years warehousing experience
- Experience of managing teams, able to prioritise.
- Customer stock and systems experience
