Part-time Personal Assistants
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a lady in my 30’s living in the Rhydyfelin area with my three children and a dog. I experience seizures and have fibromyalgia. I am in constant pain and I can get very tired. I also experience anxiety and I would like a PA to help me regain/rebuild my confidence, promote wellbeing, reduce my anxiety and provide me with social interaction.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I am looking for a Personal Assistants to help me get my independence back. I require support in the home and out in the community.
HOURS OF WORK
18 hours per week
Hours to be discussed further at interview, but could include working during the school run and every other weekend.
Hours can be split between two PAs.
RATES OF PAY
£12.80 per hour plus some mileage covered
TASKS INVOLVED
v Supervision of my safety due to seizures
v Support me in and out of the bath and other tasks associated with personal care, such as dressing/changing
v Ensure I am safe at all times
v Meal preparation
v Domestic assistance around the home, cleaning, dusting, laundry, vacuuming etc
v You will help me manage my correspondence, such as mail, making telephone calls to book appointments or deal with matters
v Responding to correspondence either in writing or phoning
v Support with getting my children to and from school to promote my independence plus maximise safety due to my seizures
v If required, supporting me in my parenting role
v Support and encourage me with physiotherapy exercises to improve muscle strength
v Support me to access local/activities such as shopping and leisure activities to help me rebuild my confidence and reduce my anxiety

v Someone who is willing to undergo seizure training if haven’t already

v Female needed due to personal care
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the Local Authority.
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
