Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen on Ward 18 North Tyneside General Hospital. We require a nursing assistant to join our brand new ward and team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced candidates who have commitment to ensuring safe and high quality care is delivered to our patients, as well as being a role model and supporting other members of the MDT.

You will be expected to work as part of a dynamic nursing team, delivering all aspects of care to patients and have excellent communication skills. Previous experience in a similar setting is desirable but not
essential. This post will be rotational between day/night shift and cover seven days a week.

• To work under the supervision of a qualified nurse and assist in the implementation of both direct and non-direct patient care.
• To provide and promote high quality care under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. High quality patient care is at the heart of everything we do and we strive to ensure every single patient and service user has an exceptional experience with us. We have one of the most extensive patient experience programmes of any trust in England.
• Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital, community, and other settings.
• Records patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions
• Carries out limited clinical care duties.
