Summary

About the role

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Cleaner and Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Estate Services team working in and around the Basingstoke area. You will be working 35 hours (Monday to Friday) from 8am-4pm with a salary of £25,095 per annum.

Reporting to your Estate Services Officer, you will be responsible for providing grounds maintenance work such as maintaining the external garden/car park/bin store areas etc.

Previous experience of grounds maintenance and some cleaning would be preferred but not essential.

Some of the key duties involved are:

  • Cleaning the internal communal areas including lifts, corridors (mopping dusting and vacuuming).
  • Bin store/bulk waste management
  • Litter picking.
  • External grounds maintenance (Hedge trimming, grass cutting, weed and moss control etc.)
  • Customer interaction

About you:

We are looking for someone who has good customer service skills, you will be working as part of a team at times as well as your own. You will require a full UK driving licence as you will have access to a company vehicle during working hours.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following essential skills:

  • Proven experience of achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to carry out physical tasks within Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Able to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to use all equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively without high levels of supervision.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, including COSHH and PPE

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Good customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Previous cleaning and grounds experience.
