Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled Handyman with an EL1 prison clearance for a long-term project based in Sutton. The ideal candidate will be versatile, reliable, and capable of handling a variety of maintenance and repair tasks in a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing general maintenance and repair work, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical tasks, and painting.
- Addressing day-to-day issues and ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
- Ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks comply with safety and security protocols in the secure environment.
- Working closely with the site management team to support the smooth operation of the facility.
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace at all times.
Requirements:
- Valid EL1 prison clearance (mandatory).
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general repair work.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations, especially in secure environments.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
