Summary
We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Nurse who are seeking a secondment opportunity to join our Ampthill Community Nursing teams in Mid Bedfordshire. This secondment opportunity will support you to develop your leadership skills and confidence. The community nursing teams deliver responsive, high quality nursing to patients in their own homes. We are passionate about patient centred care, support our nurses to lead and deliver excellent and compassionate nursing and value our clinical teams as the real heart of the NHS. If you looking to progress your leadership skills and be at the forefront of change, this is the opportunity for you. You will be a strong leader, focused on achieving real improvements in outcomes for patients and will be confident in your ability to support, coach and develop individuals and teams to deliver consistently high quality services. You will be involved in Urgent Care Response and Virtual Wards, which are a focus for our community teams. You will take pride in your work and be highly motivated and dynamic, have a flexible approach and be able to embrace change. Being a collaborative worker and the ability to network and build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders is essential.
The Community Nursing Service operates between 08.00 to 21.00 hours and the successful candidate will work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
Access to a car in order to carry out service duties is essential.
You will have the support and mentorship of the Team Lead to develop into this role and be encouraged to apply for the SPQDN in due course.
