Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly & experienced Deputy Supervisor to join our wonderful team. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare and working with young children, hold a valid Level 3 qualification in childcare, works well as part of a team, is hard working and dedicated to the job, and is a positive role model with strong leadership skills.
Duties include;
• Assisting the Room Supervisor in overseeing and carrying out daily routines and activities
• Is confident in guiding and leading a team of staff
• Following the nurseries policies & procedures, daily risk assessments, health & safety measures and ensuring hygiene & cleanliness is maintained
• Planning and delivering strong activities and learning opportunities for the children
• Knowledge of key worker systems and record keeping
Skills required;
• Experience in working with and planning for young children including supporting their individual needs
• Excellent team supervision and leadership skills
• Ability to work well with colleagues to achieve goals
• Strong organisational skills to ensure efficient operation of daily tasks are met
• Ability to write reports
• Ability to communicate well with adults and children
