Summary
The main purpose of this role is to ensure the governance, quality assurance and control around how change projects are delivered and how service for clients is serviced.
This role reports to the Senior Change Manager, working closely with the Change Team and Risk & Compliance to ensure that Procedural and Financial controls are adhered to and processes are followed, while policies upheld.
The Governance Lead will work with all levels of the organisation to ensure the governance is at the forefront of how 'Change' and 'Service' operate.
VACANCY DETAILS:
* 12 month fixed term contract
* Working hours - 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
* Work location - Northampton office but opportunity to work from home on a regular basis
* Salary Scale - £29,500 to £35,000 depending on experience.
* Car Allowance - £4,100 per annum

The role includes line management for the Work Reception and Governance Team
Key Responsibilities include:
➢ Lead on ensuring that governance framework is designed and built to support flexible delivery methods.
➢ Own that Governance controls are embedded into Release and Service, aligning to the strategic directions of the functions.
➢ Accountable for the overall Financial project reporting process.
➢ Accountable for administration of key forums / client reporting to support Change & Release.
➢ Responsible for providing training to team members on department processes and tasks and to ensure that all team members know how to complete the tasks expected of their role.
➢ Responsible for all quality assurance reporting to ensuring any variances to governance are highlighted through to Senior Management.
➢ Ensure governance, financial and assurance quality integrity are consistent across all programmes and project activity.
➢ Support Release Team with the health check reviews of delivery before go live, as requested.
➢ Accountable for the Change & Release NDA process. Ensuring that the NDA's are up to date and relevant for the known audience. This includes regular reviews to support the most up to date position and movers/ leavers and joiners.
➢ Continue to maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, documentation and training.
➢ Manage Quality Assurance/Governance meetings and ensure appropriate documentation in place to evidence meeting output.
➢ Maintain relevant project and audit documentation to ensure is relevant to delivery approach.
➢ Day to day management of the relationship with the Risk and Compliance team for overall scope of service, changes to scope and drive enhancements and improvements to processes and technology.
➢ Liaise with auditors when they come to test function to undertake audit reviews.
➢ Support the preparation and management of all external and internal audits
➢ Support any improvements to the project methodology & standards definition process with the wider team.
➢ Responsible for ensuring formal project reviews are carried out as appropriate throughout the project lifecycle to review the progress, project deliverables and achievements of the project objectives, identifying any variances to plans and implementing corrective actions as appropriate ensuring appropriate sign off and approval.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
➢ Understanding of the end to end project lifecycle, including basic understanding of inception, design, development, testing and implementation elements.
➢ Appreciation of project management methodologies such as APMP, Prince II or equivalent.
➢ Previous experience in a change management environment.
➢ Basic ability to write a project report.
➢ Competent MS Office skills (at an intermediate level).
➢ Uses various skills and methods to manage internal and external stakeholders.
➢ Good presentation and meeting facilitation skills, ability to tailor approach to the needs of the audience.
➢ Knowledge and experience of banking and financial services is advantageous.
➢ Basic project management methodology qualification or equivalent experience
