Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and well-motivated Physiotherapist to join the Surgical Therapy team at Aintree.
You will be part of an innovative team providing care to patients admitted to Surgical wards following emergency surgery, including patients stepped down from the Critical Care environment, with complex respiratory and rehabilitation needs. They should be comfortable with working in a challenging, acute, fast paced environment.
You will get the opportunity to develop leadership skills by supporting less experienced members of the therapy team with training and formal supervision.

• To support the delivery of training and development of junior members of staff to develop clinical skills.
• To support a busy team of Physios, OTs, TAs and APs alongside the existing Band 7 team, providing clinical and pastoral supervision.
• Contribute to inservice training programs
• To support Therapy lead and Band 7 team in performance monitoring and management of the team including regular data collection and information gathering to contribute to monthly care group reports
• To provide supervision and appraisal to bands 5-3

The Trust runs Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
It serves a core population of around 630,000 people across Merseyside as well as providing a range of highly specialist services to a catchment area of more than two million people in the North West region and beyond.
