Summary


Are you looking to start your band 5 career or would you like the chance of a new challenge in a collaborative and exciting specialty? If so, we have full time and part time permanent positions with a mixture of long days and nights, Monday - Sunday within our cardiothoracic ward here at Hammersmith Hospital.


A9 is a 20-bedded cardiothoracic surgical ward caring for patients with complex cardiac and thoracic needs both pre and post surgery. As well as taking step downs from ITU following extensive cardiac surgery, patients requiring tracheostomy care, our service is evolving and Enhanced Recovery for Thoracic Surgery has been introduced.


Cardiothoracic experience is desirable however we welcome newly qualified nurses with a passion for cardiac. You will need to be dynamic and a forward thinking nurse with a desire to share your knowledge and skills within an inclusive and diverse environment. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine enthusiasm for providing high quality, individualised patient centred care.


You will be supported by our nursing management team, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, cardiac clinical practice educators and highly skilled multi-disciplinary team members.
