Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION – CHEF (PUB).
Our clients at Manor Toton pub, based in Nottingham are looking for an additional Chef to work in the pub business. If you have a passion for making delicious English pub food, traditional steak, fish and chips, cobs, fajita’s authentic English breakfast, Sunday roast, fish cuisine etc, then look no further as our client owns a renowned fast-growing business. Our client’s business is expanding due to high demand within the area. The business is looking for an additional Chef for its business to cater to the needs of the locals. To contribute to the turnover and profitability of the Pub by the preparation and service of food to the standard set by the Management and to the satisfaction of the customers, with whom a cordial and courteous relationship must be constantly maintained.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• To plan, prepare, cook, and present food to a high standard for customers and
promote Pub's menus.
• To prepare the Kitchen and public areas where food is to be served and
maintain Health & Hygiene standards.
• Minimise food wastage.
• Implementing positive feedback from the customers.
• Polite and friendly approach.
• To plan costings, ordering and receipt of goods/supplies as set by the Management.
• Set menus for personal parties and special occasions.
• Experienced in preparing Sunday roast, English breakfast, fish and chip, steak, and traditional pub food.
• Utilise the Business' appointed suppliers when ordering food products.
• Maintain stock at suitable level and increasing and promoting sales of the Pub's products and goods and to assist in achieving Gross Profit Margins set out by Management.
• To be responsible for all Food tickets handled in the course of each day.
• To maintain the cleanliness and care of the equipment and working areas
used in accordance with the standards required by Law.


Relevant Experience:
1. Expertise in Traditional English pub food.
2. Minimum 3-6 months experience or NVQ in good food level 2.
3. Excellent knowledge of relevant food and health & safety regulations.
4. Strong and rational communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to lead and mentor a team with high volume, restaurant experience, and must have worked in restaurants doing over sales annually.
6. Skilled in writing production lists, F&B proposals, and requisitions.



Benefits & Salary:
• Annual package is £35000 to £39000 depending on experience.
