Summary
The Vaccination and Screening Directorate (V&S) is responsible for discharging the NHS public health functions agreement, under which the Secretary of State delegates responsibility to NHS England for certain public health services, known as Section 7A services. These include around 20 immunisation programmes, 11 screening programmes and other services such as child health information services (CHIS), some of which are led Health and Justice national commissioning team.
Working as a multi-disciplinary team, we work across the NHS and wider partners to design and deliver the best possible services. The directorate is collectively responsible for the delivery of our mission statement:

The Demand Planner Lead post sits within the Supply Chain Team.
The Supply Chain team work to support the highest uptake and best vaccination offer for COVID, and Adult Flu through the management and control of physical logistics, national forecasting, central modelling and regional engagement. It is a high performing team that relies on strong stakeholder management skills, flexibility and fluidity in relation to work tasks and problem solving, and a strong adherence to a team ethic to ensure we collectively deliver provide our service users with the end service they require, in the most efficient, effective, collaborative and cost effective way possible.
The Demand Planner Lead will primarily be responsible for managing the end-to-end forecasting S&OP process, bring together insights from regional and national colleagues to deliver a single unified forecast for the vaccination & screening program. The accuracy and agility of this forecast is a vital element to the success of the program, ensuring correct volumes of stock are delivered on time and where needed during vaccination campaigns.
Additional responsibilities will also include supporting in the deployment of the supply teams demand & supply algorithms (TDM). Plus supporting in time sensitive strategic analysis. Most of which will be used and distributed to very senior stakeholders within Supply, V&S, NHS and wider external stakeholders

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Lead the S&OP forecasting process to generate a unified forecast signal for different National vaccination programmes.
Co-ordinate and manage inputs from central and regional teams to create an agreed forecast signal
Generate and cascade data insights to inform future demand
Create and control operational vaccine deployment splits
Develop and maintain forecast and uptake KPI’s supporting the improvement of patient uptake
