Summary
Role Purpose:
Machining Operator required to carry out planned Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) maintenance tasks on a variety of machine tools. Tasks to include cleaning sub-assemblies, machine alignments, axis balancing, running calibration programs and recording of pressures, flows & collect relevant data
Key Responsibilities
• Taking measurements and adjusting machine tools
• Use of 4/5 Axis machinery
• Altering machine parameters
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Reporting of defects and additional works through CMMS (Concept)
• To carry out Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly TPM task as per the TPM plan
• To achieve 95% adherence to the TPM plan
• Must be able to carry out basic electrical / mechanical checks in a safe manner.
• Will adhere to current Health and Safety policies such as R.A, SSOW, COSHH.
• Will liaise with production to take possession of and hand back machinery in accordance with Safe Systems of Work procedures.
• Carryout precision measurement’s/ Use of DTI’s and clocks.
Skills
• Prior setter/operator experience preferred.
• Any CNC experience would be hugely beneficial
• Familiarity with machine shop environment
• Experience within the machine tool maintenance field preferred.
• Will be able to work autonomously but as part of a team.
• Must be able to carry out measurements and adjustments on CNC controls (specific machine training provided).
• Good team player able to work autonomously.
