Role Overview:

As an Experienced Fire Stopper, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining fire stopping systems in a variety of construction and refurbishment projects. You will ensure all work complies with current fire safety regulations and that it is executed to the highest standard. This role is critical to our commitment to delivering safe and compliant environments for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

-Install fire stopping systems including, but not limited to, penetration sealing, fire barriers, cavity barriers.

-Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure fire stopping installations meet all relevant codes and standards.

-Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to execute fire stopping tasks accurately.

-Ensure all fire stopping work is completed in accordance with FIRAS certification requirements.

-Maintain accurate records of all fire stopping activities, including materials used, locations, and completed works.

-Collaborate with site managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.

Requirements:

-FIRAS Certification: Essential. Must have valid and up-to-date FIRAS qualifications.

-Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Fire Stopper in the construction or refurbishment industry.

-Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of fire stopping products, systems, and installation techniques.

-Compliance: Thorough understanding of current fire safety regulations and standards.

-Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.

-Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
