Role Responsibilities

As Reception Supervisor you will be the backbone of the team as you will be working with the Front Office Manager to inspire and motivate your colleagues, ensuring that all guests have memorable experiences with us. You will be supervising the Front Office operations and inspiring a vibrant team to exceed guests’ expectations alongside supporting leading the team in the absence of the FO Manager.

  • To supervise the activities of the reception team, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and performing duties to a high standard.
  • To be familiar with the days business, including arrivals, departures, and special requests, so that you can prepare the team and department and be ready for action.
  • To ensure that all customer requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively.
  • Take handover from previous shift, follow up on any outstanding matters and ensure the delivery/completion of service.
  • To follow the company standards and procedures for guest arrivals and departures.
  • Maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction through actively communicating with the guests before, during and after the stay.
  • To deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
  • Training and motivating team members.
  • Ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out correctly.
  • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and service across all areas.
  • Ensure compliance in relation to Fire, and the Health and Safety Policy.

Key Requirements

  • Passion for hospitality and guest experience
  • Knowledge of PMS system Opera is an advantage.
  • Two years of supervisory experience in an operations role within a hospitality environment.
  • Strong organisational, task-management, leadership, creativity, and presentation skills.
  • Pro-active attitude and eye for detail with a natural drive for continuous improvement.
  • A naturally outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for service excellence to consistently deliver and demonstrate Hotel Indigo service standards.
  • A true “team-player” mentality and flexible attitude towards a diverse set of tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills
