Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to expand our team and welcome an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to our Camper Conversions team, primarily focusing on VW Transporter Conversions. Based in Glasgow's South Side, we are Scotland's Largest Stockist of Converted VW Campers.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

Poptop Roof fitting - various types ·

Rock and Roll Bed fitting - various types ·

Cutting and fitting Windows to vans ·

Insulating and re-flooring ·

Electrical Installations to include 12v, 240v and solar panel systems ·

Diesel Heater Installations ·

Assembly of CnC cut custom camper van furniture and subsequent installation into a vehicle with necessary utilities etc. ·

Some experience desirable but not essential.

General Job Responsibilities: · Carry out any and all workshop tasks pursuant to the area of employment and remit of the specific job at hand. · Maintain job sheets to monitor progress on jobs. · Maintain good time keeping practices to ensure prompt attendance and that jobs progress through the workshop on time. Maintain a clean and tidy work area to ensure Health & Safety and efficiency of work and welfare of colleagues and visitors.

The job offers a variety of tasks and opportunities to learn and improve your skill set. The role is a full-time permanent position, subject to a successful probationary period. Salary starting at £25k (Negotiable Depending On Experience and skill set) the probationary period of 6 Months will apply and there will be an annual opportunity to review salary subject to discussion & experience.

Requirements: The ideal applicant will have experience in vehicle conversion either with camper vans, caravans or motorhomes and be able to adapt to different tasks easily, use power tools effectively and safely and be able to work swiftly and accurately. However the right candidate with willingness to learn and the ability to demonstrate transferable skills and enthusiasm will be considered.

Minimum GCSE Level education including C grade in Maths and English

Full UK driver’s license.

Automotive experience ideal but not essential.

Opportunity for overtime and or weekends.
