Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant
Full-time, long-term position starting September 2024 (to run for the full academic year)
Earn up to £500 per week as a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant
Graduates with a Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths related degree are welcome to apply
School is located in central Newcastle (with excellent transport links)
Work closely with students aged 11-16 (including students preparing for GCSEs)
Great opportunity for aspiring teachers
Previous relevant experience is preferred but not essential

This school identifies the importance of promoting passion for STEM subjects in all students. This school offers opportunity for students to develop knowledge and skills, allowing them to create hypotheses, test theories and develop conclusions themselves. As a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant, you should help instil the value of knowledge and understanding of STEM subjects in students.

As a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers and other education support staff to work closely with students in the classroom, as well as 1:1 and in small group settings. You’ll have the opportunity to support struggling students to achieve their potential, while instilling an interest for STEM in them. The role will include a mixture of practical and theoretical work to provide well-rounded experience for both the students’ education, and in developing your own skillset.

The school are keen to speak to STEM graduates wishing to pursue a career in this area of education ASAP. The role will start from September and, providing all goes well, will be a long-term position throughout the next academic year.
