Summary
UHI Moray are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to the post of Learning Assistant in the Beechtree kitchen. This is effectively a Supervisory Chef role within a student-led Restaurant Kitchen, working alongside an experienced Hospitality Chef Lecturer. The successful candidate will be a Chef, educated to a minimum of SVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 3 years’ current Industry experience in a supervisory Chef and/or Kitchen Management role.
The post holder should be able to supervise the Health and Safety requirements of learners, maintain the kitchen as an efficient and clean working and learning environment, carry out stock ordering and control, supervise students, report maintenance issues, maintain Kitchen paperwork and support the Chef Lecturers in their teaching and assessing role.
We are looking for an individual who can work unsupervised, use their own initiative, and work well as part of a team. A knowledge and/or understanding of Further Education would be advantageous.
