This role is split into 2 separate duties:

1. The Ground Operations Co-Ordinator is responsible for both the planning/organisation of European Cargo Ground Operations and the physical oversight of the aircraft turn-around (arrival to departure).

2. Planning duties are completed in an office environment. The physical oversight takes place on the ramp at Bournemouth Airport.

A successful applicant will have the ability to manage both workloads simultaneously.

Ramp Duties include but not exhaustive:

Managing the safe arrival of the aircraft onto stand, ensuring procedures are followed at all times
Managing a compliant and efficient Onload and Offload procedure of the aircraft
Oversight and allocation of Ground Staff
Manage Transport of Ground Staff
Enforcing Health and Safety Procedures
Checking the quality of cargo coming on & off the aircraft
Working closely with our designated handling agents to solve problems and ensure that cargo is delivered to our customers in a timely manner, without compromising general ramp safety
Responsibility for the safety of the aircraft, all company vehicles operating around it and the safety of the Unload team working under your direction
Driving of Ground equipment where required
Expertise/knowledge of Company & Airport Procedure, plus the ability to apply it
Preparation/completion of flight documents for aircraft departures
Ability to apply a flexible approach to issues encountered
Representation of European Cargo’s interests on the ramp at all times

Office Duties include but not exhaustive:

General planning & coordination of ramp operations
Forecasting of potential delays
Having the foresight to see issues before they happen & propose alternative approaches
Working closely with other departments within the airline
Liaising with service providers to meet scheduled deadlines
Communications with our customers and service providers
Load control
General administrative duties & rostering of Unload team
Aiding with the procurement and training of staff

Full UK Driving license is essential
