Bringing innovation and a positivity to the team.
The post holder will be expected to work as a change agent with the rest of the senior nursing team within the Critical Care department, taking forward the nursing strategy, standards and shaping the future of nursing practice, within our services. They will support the critical care management team to standardise nursing practice and identify opportunities for improvement.
They will work with the critical care management team to ensure staff achieve the required clinical competencies by the development and implementation of a variety of educational packages in response to service, trust and individual need.

We also highly value safety and quality – with established daily safety huddles, improved communication through our team newsletter and open culture for all staff to suggest improvements.
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust's Hospital Transformation Programme will join both units to form a 30-bedded Critical Care at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in the next few years. Until then, we currently offer rotations for staff between both sites, in order to gain experience in a range of medical, surgical, trauma, maternity and emergency care specialities.
This is a hugely exciting time to be joining Critical Care at SaTH with these developments and we hope that you will apply for this post and join our team!
