Summary

Job Title: Gas Engineer Apprentice
Salary: £13,312 per annum - £18,012.80 per annum (Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage)
Location: On site with base in Shrewsbury
Hours: 40 hours per week, fixed term until September 2028

We currently have a great opportunity for a Gas Apprentice to join our in-house maintenance team, Property Plus on a full-time, fixed term apprenticeship. We're looking for a dedicated professional to bring our values to life and ensure our customers receive outstanding services.

The Role
As an apprentice Gas Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience and develop the essential skills to become a qualified gas engineer. Working alongside our experienced professionals, you'll learn all aspects of the trade, from installations and maintenance to fault-finding and repairs whilst making a positive difference to those living within our communities.

Typical duties include completing gas boiler installations, unvented hot water systems and renewables technologies e.g air source heating systems.

You'll work towards Level 3 in Domestic Gas and Installations and Renewable Energy Systems as part of the apprenticeship therefore, it is essential you have already completed the Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing.

Skills and experience required:

Hold the Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing (Essential)
GCSE Maths and English (Grades 9-4)
Good communication skills
Ability to work well in a team
A basic knowledge and understanding of health & safety regulations
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to climb stairs, ladders and enter loft and other confined spaces
Ability to carry our heavy lifting duties
Flexible and adaptable with a 'can do' attitude
Full clean Driving Licence (essential)
