The Role:
Home Care Assistants are responsible for providing high quality care and uphold the Health and Social Care Standards. The role includes the duties below:
· Provide an exceptional level of person-centred care to individuals in the community
· Personal Care i.e. washing, dressing and continence care
· Assisting service users’ with their mobility needs
· Prompting medication in line with the service user’s care plan
· Assisting with light domestic duties such as cooking and cleaning
· Ensure any issues relating to a service user’s health and wellbeing are dealt with effectively and/or escalated to senior management
Requirements:
· Right to Work in the UK
· At least six months experience as a home care assistant
· Ability to provide two professional references, one of which must be your most recent employer
· Experience with personal care and moving and handling
· Experience prompting medication
· Willing to become a PVG Member
· Willing to become a member of the SSSC
· Ability to complete online and face-to-face training
· Confident with lone working
· You must be caring and compassionate with a true passion for supporting others.
