Skilled Fitters

Location: East Cowes, Isle of Wight

Hours: Standard hours 37 per week on shift basis (straight days or rotating earlies and lates)

Days: Monday - Friday

Duration: minimum of 12 months (reviewed after 6), possibly temp to perm for the right candidate.

Duties:

Working on a range of main and sub assemblies (jig and non-jig controlled) from detailed parts using appropriate assembly techniques, tools and fixtures.
Read and understand processes and procedures to meet all required quality standards.
Production of 1st off Production Units and work on mechanical assemblies.
Adherence to regulatory standards, customer specifications and health and safety.

Experience:

Must have a minimum of 3 years fitting experience plus a recognised industry related apprenticeship or NVQ 3 or City and Guilds 3 qualification.
Must be able to read and understand drawings.
Must be able to work well as part of a team or on own initiative.
Role subject to security clearance.
Accommodation Allowance considered for mainland applicants.

Salary: £17.06 / £21.33 per hour worked, dependent on shift
