The AL CNS team work together, and with the interdisciplinary team to help deliver an expert specialist service to those diagnosed with these cancers.

The ALL CNS team help to care for patients at all stages of their cancer journey and through a variety of treatments in a kind, compassionate manner. The team are committed to the development and delivery of high quality holistic patient care. They play an active part in clinical practice, management of patient caseload, education, research, audit and professional activities relating to cancer care.

The ALL service vision is to be outstanding in our ALL patient healthcare outcomes and experience, and aligns with the NUH vision.


The role requires a nurse with excellent communication skills, a track record of strong clinical leadership, and experience of project work. The successful candidate will be an individual with Haematology experience at a senior level, have had some experience of working to project briefs, deadlines and at achieving Key Performance Indicators.

They will implement, maintain and update nurse-led clinics in accordance with local and national developments.

The nurse specialist will also provide ongoing supervision and support, participating in the induction and training of the multi-disciplinary team. As a senior member of the team, the nurse specialist will also play a pivotal role in the operational development of their specialty. They will initiate, manage and drive change within the department, innovating changes in practice for the benefit of patient care in line with current trust and local programmes. Approximately 20% of the post holder’s time will be used for these purposes.
