What we are looking for
As part of our Raceday Stewarding Team, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests have an enjoyable and safe experience visiting Ascot Racecourse.
The successful candidates will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and enjoy interacting with our guests and assisting them with any queries or assistance they may need.
This is casual role working on Ascot Racedays. We have a variety of positions available across the racecourse – please note some of these involve working outside in the elements and standing for long periods of time in one position.
What you’ll be doing
Customer service
• Answering guest queries
• Monitoring access and egress points
• Providing information and directions to guests
Safety & Stewarding
• Monitoring crowd movement & behaviour & reporting issues
• Ensuring work areas are safe
• Assisting in an Evacuation if required
• Work up to 26 race days per year (see 2024 fixtures list below)
• Undertake training and e-learning courses as required
Skills and experience you can bring
• Have a willingness to deliver exceptional customer service to our guests
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Be a team player
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have a flexible working attitude
• Be reliable and responsible
• Have a can-do attitude
• Be calm under pressure
• Be able to adapt to changing situations quickly
• Be happy to work outdoors in all conditions if needed
• Be of smart appearance at all times (uniform provided)
• Have a willingness to learn
• Comfortable using a radio to speak with colleagues
Qualifications:
Desirable but not essential - Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety or Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events

The opportunity to be a part of a place ‘Like Nowhere Else' and be part of our Raceday Team.
Uniform and a daily lunch will be provided.
We will be paying £12.55 per hour (exclusive of holiday pay).
